Man arrested at Hili border with 133 Buprenorphine injection ampoules
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug trader with 133 ampoules of contraband Indian Buprenorphine injections during a raid in the Hili border area of Hakimpur upazila here. The information was confirmed in a press release issued today by Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Dinajpur Camp and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplob Kumar Goswami.
According to the release, a team of RAB-13 conducted a drive in Masterpara village in the early hours of today. During the operation, the elite force searched the house of Sangram Hossain and recovered 133 ampoules of Buprenorphine injections from a plastic bag carried by a suspect. The detainee was identified as Md Ariful Islam, 40, son of Md Nurul Islam of Masterpara village. He was handed over to Hakimpur Police Station along with the seized drugs. A case was filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act, the RAB official added.
