Matiranga Zone distributes Food And Free Medical Services

Bangladesh Army's 18th Field Regiment Artillery Matiranga Zone has distributed food and provided free medical services as humanitarian assistance to the helpless and disadvantaged people in Charpara area of Ward No. 5 of Matiranga Municipality in Khagrachari. Around 10 am on Monday, with the overall support of Matiranga Zone, more than two hundred helpless and distressed hill-Bengali men and women were given health check-ups, necessary medical advice and free medicines in Charpara area of Ward No 5 of the municipality.

 In addition, as part of humanitarian assistance, food and medical supplies were distributed to more than fifty unemployed and backward hill-Bengali men and women of Chowdhury Ghat and Wasu areas. Matiranga Zone Medical Officer Captain Dr Noor Rezwan Toufiq Rizvi. He examined the patients' health and gave them necessary advice and distributed necessary medicines for various diseases. Asia Begum, a resident of Charpara, who received the food items, said, "It is very difficult to run a family these days. The food items provided by the army will be of great benefit to our family. ."Md. Salam, who came to receive free medical services, said, "Many people cannot afford to see a doctor and buy medicines. Today, the army doctor examined us and gave us free medicines. We have benefited a lot from this."Locals said that such humanitarian initiatives of the Bangladesh Army towards the underprivileged people of the hilly region are commendable. They expressed hope that such medical services and assistance activities will continue regularly in the future.Military officers of Matiranga Zone, army personnel and local dignitaries were present at the humanitarian assistance program.Matiranga Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Masud Khan, PSC said, "The Bangladesh Army is always by the side of the people not only in protecting the sovereignty and security of the country, but also in fulfilling its humanitarian responsibilities.

 Matiranga Zone has been regularly conducting such public welfare programs to improve the living standards of the common people of the hilly areas, ensure healthcare, and alleviate the suffering of the helpless. Such humanitarian activities will continue in the future as well.
