An anti-crime meeting was organized in the Duip Residential Area of Beat No. 02 under Mirpur Model Police Station, involving respected members of the local community.

Present at the event was Officer-in-Charge of Mirpur Model Police Station, Mr. Sajjad Roman.

Various issues were discussed during the meeting, with emphasis placed on the importance of interaction between the police and the public. Citizens were informed about the services the police provide, as well as the limitations of police authority.

The public was welcomed to participate in this community initiative. To bring police services closer to citizens, make them more dynamic and effective, and enhance public engagement in police activities, the Haimchar Police have launched beat policing activities alongside community policing in various areas.

Through beat policing, understanding of each area, crime trends, and local offenders will improve. This initiative aims to ensure greater transparency and accountability in police work, accelerate policing efforts, and foster stronger public-police relations. It will also create opportunities for public cooperation in crime prevention, while raising awareness and reducing social crimes.

Through joint efforts of the police and the public, the goal is to ensure sustainable security and a safer Haimchar. Inspired by the motto "The police are the people, and the people are the police", this initiative seeks to eliminate fear of the police and of crime from society through community-based policing and collective action.
