A meeting was held to discuss the construction of modern cold storage for mango farmers in Sapahar Upazila of Naogaon, development of marketing system and relocation of mango market to ensure a odor-free environment.

The meeting was organized by the Upazila Administration and Upazila Engineer's Office at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Thursday afternoon. The meeting was organized under the Climate and Disaster Resilient Small-Scale Water Resources Management Project. Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Romana Riaz presided over the meeting. Project Director Enamul Kabir was present as the chief guest.

Former Chief Engineer Gopal Krishna Debnath, Naogaon Executive Engineer Md. Badruddoja, Additional Agriculture Officer Moniruzzaman Talki, Upazila BNP General Secretary Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury (Labu), Upazila BNP former President Principal Abdun Nur, Vice President Joynal Abedin, Former Joint Convener Moklesur Rahman and Upazila Mango Traders Cooperative Association Limited General Secretary Imam Hossain Rifat, Chairman of No. 5 Patari Union Parishad Md. Jahangir Alam Master. 

At this time, the speakers highlighted the importance of sustainable development of the mango industry in Sapahar, ensuring modern storage facilities, improving market management and reducing public suffering by eliminating traffic congestion and shifting the mango market to a planned location. In addition, emphasis was laid on taking effective initiatives based on the opinions of all concerned. Officials of various government departments, public representatives, political figures, mango farmers, businessmen and local dignitaries were present at the meeting.
