PARTNER Congress with farmers held in Kaunia

Organized by the Upazila Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), the PARTNER Field School Congress of the “Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER)” in the financial year 2024-2025 was held with the participation of farmers from different areas of Kaunia Upazila of the district at the Upazila Auditorium on Tuesday morning.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Mohidul Haque chaired the programme, while Upazila Agricultural Officer Md Tania Akhter delivered the welcome speech, and Rangpur Region DAE Additional Director Md Shafiqul Islam was the chief guest. Among others, Upazila Fisheries Officer Farzana Akhter also spoke. District Instructor Md Enamul Haque trained the farmers. Present at the event were Senior Monitoring Officer Ashok Kumar Roy, Kaunia Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Azmain, Sub-Assistant Agricultural Officers Sayedul Islam, Emdad Haque, Omar Faruk and Anwar Hossain, and farmers.
In their speeches at the PARTNER Congress, the guests said, “The Agriculture Department is working as a supporting force to increase smart agricultural production through technology-based knowledge exchange. Agriculture is being brought under the PARTNER programme. The purpose of this congress is to promote good agricultural practices in the need of the hour.”
