Police recruitment has become transparent after July revolution: BPA Principal

“The newly introduced recruitment system has marked a renaissance in the police department by completing the recruitment process with utmost transparency. A new history has been written. The Bangladesh government is continuing its efforts to transform the Bangladesh Police into a world-class legal service institution by increasing the police manpower and improving the quality of training through the use of modern and up-to-date technology. The pride of the police force should be further uplifted by keeping in mind the new chapter created through the anti-discrimination movement of students and the public in July and August,” said Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) Acting Principal Zillur Rahman in his closing speech at the training graduation parade of the 168th Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) batch at the BPA in Sardah on Sunday.

This pleasant training graduation parade was organized at the parade ground of the Police Academy. BPA Acting Principal Zillur Rahman inspected the parade as the chief guest and received the felicitations. Later, he distributed prizes among the TRCs who excelled in various subjects.  A total of 357 TRCs participated in the closing parade.

Among them, Md Sabbir Hossain (PA/320) was selected as the Best TRC and Best Academic. Besides, among the subject-wise excellence achievers, Sumon Ali (PA/128) was selected as the Best in Field Activities and Noor Nabi (PA/551) was selected as the Best Shooter.

Present at the event were BPA’s DIG (Admin & Logistics) AKM Ehsan Ullah NDC, Additional DIG (CRIIT) Faisal Mahmud PPM, Superintendent of Police (Admin & Logistics) Mohammad Saiful Islam, BPM, PPM (Bar), Superintendent of Police (Field) Zayed Shahriar and other senior officials of Bangladesh Police at various levels.
