Preparatory meeting held to observe Nat’l Fisheries Day

A preparatory meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Tuesday afternoon to mark the implementation of National Fisheries Day 2026. Deputy Commissioner Md. Motakabbir Ahmed presided over the meeting.

District Fisheries Officer Madhav Chandra Sarkar presented the main topics at the meeting. Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Tajul Islam, President of Magura Press Club Professor Saidur Rahman, President of Magura Municipal BNP Masud Hasan Khan Kizil, Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Development Firoz Ahmed, Assistant Superintendent of Police Nishat Al Nahian, Magura Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Meherunnahar spoke at the meeting.

Deputy Director of the Department of Social Services, Acting Deputy Director of the Department of Women's Affairs Abdul Awal and district-level officials were present at the meeting. At the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Motakabbir Ahmed said that everyone should come forward for the development of the community related to maca cultivation and work with them for national development.
