Savar Model College HSC examinees given farewell
The farewell reception for the 2025 HSC examinees and the prize distribution of the annual sports competition were held at Savar Model College on Sunday. The programme began at 10 am with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
At the beginning of the programme, the welcome speech was delivered by the Principal of the College Md Touhid Hossain.
Under the chairmanship of Savar Model College Governing Body President Professor Dr Md Ilias Mollah, Jahangirnagar University Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Mahfuzur Rahman spoke as the chief guest through a video message. Savar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Liaqat Ali spoke as the special guest. At that time, Assistant Professor Md Mansur Ali and Md Billal Hossain spoke among the teachers. Limon Mridha, Afsana Rimi and Mohin Usman spoke among the students. Savar Model College Principal Md Touhid Hossain ended the first session with prayers and supplications.
After the fall of the previous dictator, it was not possible to give awards to sports competitors at Savar Model College for five long years. Professor Dr Ilias Mollah presented awards to the winners of the 2020 and 2025 sports competitions.
