Science and Technology fair held in Gazipur
A district-level Startup, Science Project and Innovation Idea Showcasing Programme was held in the district today bringing together students and teachers to present innovative ideas and scientific projects under the theme, "Bangladesh First Through Talent, Science and Innovation". The event was organised at PTI auditorium to encourage creativity, scientific thinking, and technological innovation among students. M. Manjurul Karim Rony, Member of Parliament for Gazipur-2 constituency, was present at the event as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan in the chair.
On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) M. Rakibul Hasan attended as special guest. Students from various educational institutions across the district showcased their innovative projects and ideas during the fair. In his remarks, the chief guest said that each project displayed at the fair had the potential to inspire a separate exhibition. Many renowned organisations around the world were established from a single innovative idea, he added.
He emphasized that the primary objective of innovation is to save time, simplify life, and ensure the best use of human talent and resources for the welfare of society. Among the projects exhibited, Khatkora High School of Kaliganj and Union High School of Kapasia jointly secured first place. Afaz Uddin Memorial School of Kaliakair won second place while Swapnachhoya High School of Sreepur achieved third place. The programme was organised by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) and the Education Excellence Support System and International Educational Development Programme (IEDP) under the Ministry of Education. The event was implemented with support from the Gazipur District Administration and the District Education Office.
