Screen printing training begins in Patuakhali

District Social Services Officer Md Mahbubur Rahman as the chief guest inaugurated a five-day screen printing training workshop at the Anirban Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (ASUS) office in the district town on Sunday at 11 am to build women entrepreneurs and capacity for socio-economic development.

ASUS Executive Director Shamsunnahar chaired the event and Kazi Tanima Zaman moderated it. Women Entrepreneur Association of Bangladesh (WEAB) Coordinator Rina Kona Pal discussed the purpose and goals of the screen printing training. Master Trainer Anwara Begum, and ASUS Finance and Admission Officer Md Tasir Uddin were present at that time, among others.

Thirty-three women are participating in the training, said ASUS Executive Director Shamsunnahar.

Trainer Anwara Begum told this correspondent that the screen printing training will cover block printing, batik printing and tie-dye.
