Shah Alam, accused in 12 drug cases Arrested with 50 pieces of Yaba in Patuakhali

Patuakhali DB Police arrested Shah Alam Matbar (55), a professional drug dealer, named in the complaint of 12 drug cases, with 50 pieces of Yaba tablets.

Patuakhali District Police and District Detective Team have been conducting regular anti-drug operations. In continuation of this, on Tuesday at 1.10 am, based on secret information, the District Detective Branch (DB) conducted a drive in the area called Charpara (Swanirbhar Road) of Ward No. 6 of Patuakhali Municipality and arrested Md. Shah Alam Matbar (55), an accused in 12 drug cases, with 50 (fifty) pieces of Yaba tablets.

Patuakhali Sadar Police Station Case-21, dated 11-08-2026 AD, Section 36(1) Table 10(a) of the Narcotics Control Act 2028 has been registered against the arrested person. Accused Md. Shah Alam Matbar is a professional drug dealer. He has been involved in drug trade for a long time. Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sajedul Islam Sajal said that he is an accused in 12 drug cases filed against him earlier.
