Sreepur Thana Community Policing Meet and Inauguration Ceremony held
The Upazila Community Policing Meeting and Inauguration Ceremony was held on Monday afternoon at the Sreepur Thana premises in Magura. The leaders of the newly formed 15-member Upazila Community Policing Forum were felicitated at the ceremony. Sreepur Thana Officer-in-Charge Oli Mia presided over the ceremony, with Magura Police Superintendent Molla Azad Hossain present as the chief guest.
Additional Police Superintendent Thandar Khairul Hasan, Assistant Police Superintendent Nishat Al Nahian, former Upazila BNP President Ashraful Alam Joarder, former General Secretary and General Secretary of Community Policing Forum Khandaker Abbas Uddin, former General Secretary and Vice-President of the Forum Munshi Rezaul Karim, among others, were present as special guests.
Moderated by Assistant Superintendent of Police Bappi Kumar Das, the speeches were made by freedom fighter Munshi Abdul Quddus, President of Sreepur Press Club Dr Musafir Nazrul, Former Women Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Nargis Sultana, Secretary of Upazila Jamaat Md. Mizanur Rahman Mollah, Acting Headmaster of Sreepur Government MC Pilot Secondary School Shamimul Islam, President of Upazila Puja Udjavan Parishad Monoranjan Sarkar, President of Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Parishad Apurba Mitra, Former Organizing Secretary of Upazila BNP Khalilur Rahman Mollah, Masud Majumder, Member Secretary of Upazila Sports Association Sohag Mahmud, Convener of Upazila Jubo Dal Ziaul Haque Farid, Member Secretary Shah Alam Tufan, Member Secretary of Swechchhasebak Dal Badrul Alam Litu, among others.
The program emphasized the need to take effective steps to prevent overall law and order in the upazila, drugs, and village fights.
