Recognition for Maintaining Law and Order and Professionalism;  Officers and Members Honored Nurul Kaiser Jewel / Cox's Bazar Teknaf Model Police Station has been named the Best Police Station in Cox's Bazar District in recognition of its outstanding performance in maintaining law and order, preventing crime and carrying out professional duties.

The recognition was announced at the Monthly Welfare Meeting of Cox's Bazar District Police and the July 2026 Monthly Crime Review Meeting, held on Monday (August 10, 2026) at the Drill Shed of Cox's Bazar District Police Lines. The meeting was chaired by the Superintendent of Police, Cox's Bazar, and attended by police officers and members from different ranks.

During the meeting, various issues concerning the duties of police personnel, workplace challenges, facilities and overall welfare were discussed.  Emphasis was placed on maintaining law and order, preventing crime and ensuring public safety through responsible and professional policing. Several police officers and members were honored for their outstanding performance and contributions.  The Superintendent of Police handed over congratulatory gifts to the recipients.  Best-performing officers and units were also recognized based on established criteria.

As part of the recognition, Teknaf Model Police Station received the award for being the best police station in Cox's Bazar District. Progress of Important Cases Reviewed Following the welfare meeting, the July 2026 Monthly Crime Review Meeting was held at the office of the Superintendent of Police. The meeting reviewed the overall law and order situation and crime statistics across the district.  Detailed discussions were held on the progress of investigations into important and sensational cases, including drug-related cases, murder, rape, robbery, abduction and human trafficking.

The concerned officers were instructed to expedite the investigation and disposal of long-pending cases and ensure proper, impartial and effective investigations into important cases. The Superintendent of Police also directed officials to demonstrate greater professionalism in preventing crime, bringing offenders to justice and taking effective measures to ensure the safety and security of people's lives and property. Officials concerned said the achievement of Teknaf Model Police Station reflects the dedication, professionalism and effective role of its officers and members in maintaining law and order and preventing crime.
