Workshop with fruit farmers held in Damurhuda

With the financial assistance of PKSF and the World Bank, a day-long notification workshop for entrepreneurs under the High Value Crops (Fruits) Cultivation Project, being implemented by WAVE Foundation, was held at the training room of WAVE Foundation’s Go Green Center in Koshaghata Village of Damurhuda Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.
Damurhuda Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tithi Mitra was present as the chief guest at the workshop. Upazila Agriculture Officer Sharmin Akhter, Agricultural Extension Officer Al Sabah, Horticulture Department Nursery Supervisor Abdul Malek, Damurhuda Upazila BNP General Secretary Rafiqul Hasan Tonu, WAVE Foundation Deputy Director Zahir Raihan, Foundation Senior Coordinators Kamruzzaman Juddho and Abdus Salam were present as the special guests.
In the workshop, Suhrawardy Shuvo, the executive manager of the Fruit Cultivation project, presented a detailed information-based presentation about the project. Technical Officer Zahidul Islam presented technical issues related to the project, and RECP Officer Moniruzzaman presented RECP. Besides, stakeholders at various levels involved in fruit cultivation, farmers, political figures, student representatives and young entrepreneurs were present at the workshop.
