2,470 marginal farmers get incentives in Feni

A total of 2,470 small and marginal farmers in Feni have received free seeds and fertilizers under the government's AUS incentive programme for the Kharif-1 (2025-26) season. Feni-2 constituency Parliament Member Professor Joynal Abdin distributed the incentive among the farmer as the chief guest at a function held at Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium this morning. Speaking at the event, Joynal Abdin said the government's special agricultural initiatives, including the distribution of seeds and fertilizers, would bring significant benefits to farmers. 

He expressed hope that such support would boost crop production and help meet the country's growing food demands. Uazila Nirbahi Officer Sultana Nasrin Kanta presided over the programm, while Additional Deputy Director (Grains) of the Department of Agricultural Extension Md. Masud Hossain was present as a special guest. Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Mohiuddin delivered the welcome speech.

Each farmer received 5 kg of seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 10 kg of MOP fertilizer as part of the incentive package. Officials said the initiative is aimed at encouraging farmers to increase cultivation during the AUS season and enhance overall agricultural productivity in the region.
