Jinnat receives warm welcome in reception event

Bangladesh's Jinnat Akter was accorded a reception by the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) after returning home with a bronze medal from the women's 52kg wushu event at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

Jinnat arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early 2:30am today from Aichi-Nagoya, where BOA officials welcomed her with flowers.

Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mohammad Ullah, National Sports Council Director (Sports) Mohammad Jahed Parvez Chowdhury, BOA executive committee member Russell Kabir Sumon and officials of the Bangladesh Wushu Federation were present on the occasion.

Jinnat's bronze medal marked a notable achievement for Bangladesh at the Asian Games and is expected to inspire the country's athletes to pursue further success on the international stage.
