Madrasa Student Drowns in Munshiganj

A madrasha student drowned in the Dhaleshwari river in Nayagaon area of Sadar upazila here today. The deceased was Mohammad, 8, son of Nur Alam, a resident of Nayagaon Purbapara area of the upazila and a student of class three of Darussunnat Islamia Alim Madrasa in Panchasar.

Senior Station Officer of Munshiganj Fire Service Md. Mehfuz Tanzir said that Mohammad drowned in the river while taking bath at 12.30 pm. The diving team of Munshiganj Fire Service rescued the boy from the spot and took him to Sadar General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
