Motorcycle crash kills three friends in Munshiganj

Three friends were killed after a motorcycle lost control and crashed into a roadside tree at Tongibari upazila in the district on Thursday night. The accident occurred around 10 pm on the Dighirpar-Sipahipara road in the Jashlong area, police said. The deceased were identified as Md Shah Saniyat Sheikh, 29, son of Aslam Sheikh, Hosain Mohammad Sakib Khan, 26, son of Alam Khan, and Turjo Majhi, 28, son of Badal Majhi of Darjarpar area of the upazila.

Police said the three friends were heading towards Sipahipara riding a motorcycle when the driver lost control and the vehicle crashed into a roadside tree. The riders were thrown onto the road, leaving Shah Saniyat Sheikh and Hosain Mohammad Sakib Khan dead on the spot.

Critically injured Turjo was taken to Munshiganj General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Dighirpar Police Outpost Md Tajul Islam said the bodies have been kept at the morgue of Munshiganj General Hospital for autopsy.
