MPA officers’ association holds AGM, reunion

The general meeting and reunion of the Officers’ Association of Mongla Port Authority, established in 1993, was held in a festive atmosphere on May 2 at the Port Auditorium in Khalishpur. Sheikh Showkat Ali, President of the MPA association, presided over the meeting. Among others, General Secretary Md. Sohel Rana, Vice Presidents Md. Mahfuzur Rahman and Mehefuzur Rahman, Joint General Secretaries Dr. Matiur Rahman and Md. Makruzzaman, Cultural Secretary Shirin Afroz Anu; Organising Secretary Mong Kamrul Islam Kawsar, Treasurer Md. Niamur Rahman, and member Md. Bazlur Rahman, along with other leaders and officials of the port, were present at the event.

Officials of the Mongla Port Authority participated in the meeting. Discussions focused on the association’s future plans and strategies, as well as various demands of the officers. Following the formal session, a reunion and cultural programme were organised, where family members of the officials also took part.
