Police Recover Weapons and Ammunition in Raozan
Chattogram District Police recovered two locally made LG guns and three rounds of cartridges during a special operation in Noazishpur Union under Raozan upazila of the district early today. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raozan Police Station Mohammad Sajedul Islam confirmed the incident in the afternoon.
Based on secret information, the operation was conducted around 3:45am, led by OC Sajedul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) Khorshed Alam and other police personnel. During the raid, police recovered two country-made LG guns and three rounds of cartridges concealed in a specially hidden place on the ceiling of a tin-shed house belonging to fugitive accused Nurul Amin alias Kalu, 40, located at Mohar Kazi's house in Ward No 1 of Noazishpur Union.
However, the accused Nurul Amin alias Kalu managed to flee the scene during the operation. SI Khorshed Alam filed a case under the Arms Act with Raozan Police Station in this connection.
