RU Hosts Opening of Inter-College Athletics Meet

A two-day 46th Inter-college Athletics Competition- 2025-2026 kicked off at Stadium of Rajshahi University (RU) today. In the competition, 250 male students from 11 dormitories are taking part in 19 events while 120 female students from six dormitories are taking part in 11 events. Vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Saleh Hassan Naquib, Pro-VCs Prof Mayeen Uddin and Prof Farid Uddin Khan and Treasurer Prof Matiar Rahman inaugurated the sports meet through releasing balloons, festoons and pigeons in the sky. Closing and prize-giving ceremony of the competition is scheduled to be held at the stadium tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.
