A live stage performance is where a musician truly finds comfort and joy. There are several reasons for this. The first is the performance fee, the second is the immediate feedback from the audience, and the third is staying busy with music. Shapla Paul, a beloved artist from Chittagong and a popular figure in today’s music scene, always prefers to keep herself engaged with stage performances. Continuing this trend, last Friday, Shapla Pal performed at two back-to-back stage shows.

The first was held in the morning at the Eastachol Club in Dhaka, and the second took place in the evening at the Jalsidir Golf Club. At both performances, Shapla Paul captivated the audience by singing a mix of folk songs as well as modern tunes. She expressed her gratitude, particularly towards her guitarist, Shakil Mohammad Dipon Bhai, who has been a constant support in her musical journey. "He always encourages me and gives me specific advice on how I can improve my singing," she said. "For instance, he had spoken to Dr. Priyanka Ghosh about me, which helped me learn how to present myself more effectively in my singing. Dipon Bhai has told me that my voice has improved over time, but I still strive to sing even better.

I want to give my best in every performance. Like the legendary Asha Ji, I also want to sing until my last breath." Shapla’s favorite artist is the legendary Indian singer, Shipra Basu. She particularly loves Shipra Basu's songs "Tumi Na Aele Jalsa Ghore" and "Amay Tumi Chinle Na To." Recently, Shapla released her latest original song titled Shishir Bheja Pae, written by Tarek Anand and composed by Khairul Wasir. Additionally, she recently released a cover of the late Khalid Hasan Milu's song Amar Moto Eto Sukhi Noito Karo Jibon from the film Baba Ken Chakor, directed by the legendary actor Raj Rajjak, on her YouTube channel "Shapla Pal." The song's lyrics were written by Mohammad Rafiq Uzzaman, and its music was composed by Alauddin Ali.
