Symbols Allocated to 36 Candidates in Barishal’s Six Constituencies
In a festive atmosphere, symbols were allocated today to the candidates contesting the six parliamentary constituencies of Barishal for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary elections. The allocation ceremony took place at 12:30 pm in the meeting room of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, with candidates and their supporters present.
The announcement was made by District Returning Officer Khairul Alam Sumon. Following the allocation, the candidates and their supporters expressed excitement and optimism about their prospects in the elections. Election campaigns are scheduled to officially begin tomorrow. A total of 36 candidates from various political parties, including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, National Citizen Party (NCP), and independence will compete for the six parliamentary seats in Barishal. Khairul Alam Sumon said that all measures have been taken to maintain a fair and peaceful electoral environment. Prior to the allocation, he also discussed the election code of conduct with the candidates and their supporters to ensure compliance throughout the campaign period.
