Ten-day entrepreneur fair begins in Jamalpur
A ten-day-long entrepreneur fair has begun at the BSCIC premises in the district town, drawing enthusiastic participation from local and regional entrepreneurs. The fair is being organized by the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) with support from the district administration. Additional District Magistrate AKM Abdullah Bin Rashid formally inaugurated the event on Wednesday afternoon.
A total of 120 stalls have been set up, showcasing a wide range of cottage industry products. Entrepreneurs from different districts, along with local participants, are taking part in the fair, offering visitors a diverse selection of handmade and small-scale industrial goods. Assistant General Manager of BSCIC Jamalpur Samrat Akbar said the fair also features entertainment options, including rides for children and cultural programs, which are expected to attract a large number of visitors.
Md Enamul Haque Khan Milon, President of the district unit of the National Small and Cottage Industries Association, described the initiative as a milestone for the region. He said it is the first time BSCIC has arranged such a fair in Jamalpur, and it is expected to boost local entrepreneurship and provide greater exposure to small business owners. The fair will continue for the next ten days, offering both business opportunities and entertainment for visitors.
