Two Buses Collide in Tangail, 22 Sustained Injuries


At least 22 people were injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses in Ghatail upazila of the district this morning. The accident occurred around 8 am at Haripur on the Tangail-Mynansingh Highway. The injured were rescued and admitted to Ghatail Upazila Health Complex and Tangail General Hospital.  Some of them are in critical condition. The accident may occur due to dense fog.

Police and eyewitnesses said that when a passenger bus of Baniya Paribahan collided head-on with another bus of Mymensingh-bound Prantik Paribahan leaving 22 passengers of both the vehicles injured. One person has been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Ghatail Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mokchedur Rahman confirmed the matter.
