Inauguration of Shahid Abdullah Kabir Road Held
The road connecting Baten Nagar and Tolarbag has been officially named “Shahid Abdullah Kabir Road” in memory of the martyr Abdullah Kabir. The inauguration ceremony was held with the martyr’s son, Md. Ahnaf Khan, cutting the ribbon to formally open the road.
Mustafa Jaglul Pasha Papal, nomination aspirant from Dhaka-14 constituency, attended the event as the chief guest. Distinguished local residents were also present and exchanged greetings on the occasion. Among the organizers were Firoz Shah Sardar, President of Baten Nagar Residential Association; Md. Zahirul Islam Rana, General Secretary; Kabir Uddin Sarkar, Vice President; Hasibur Rahman Hasib, overall coordinator; Sheikh Al Mamun Rubel, convener; from Tolarbag Social Welfare Association—Acting President Din Mohammad Ratan, Acting General Secretary Lutfur Rahman, Joint General Secretary S.M. Saiful Matin Tipu, Treasurer Nuruzzaman Bhuiyan, and Ahmad Hossain.
In his speech, Chief Guest Mustafa Jaglul Pasha said:
“I want to bring Dhaka-14 back to a new form. Under the guidance of our national leader Tarique Rahman, I will continue working for the service of the people. Just as we defeated fascism in the past, Insha’Allah in the coming days, our national leader Tarique Rahman will lead Bangladesh with pride for the young generation. We always pray for the eternal peace of Shahid Abdullah Kabir’s soul.”
He further added:
“I have been continuing development and infrastructure initiatives in this constituency so that the people of Dhaka-14 can experience real change.”
Local residents remarked that the inauguration of this road has opened new possibilities for infrastructure development in the area.
