Two-day training on Family Card survey begins in Rajshahi

A two-day training programme for data collectors and supervisors began in Paba upazila of Rajshahi today to ensure accurate data collection for implementing the government's Family Card programme.

Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon, MP, inaugurated the training as the chief guest at the Paba Upazila Parishad conference room, stressing the need for honesty, impartiality and sincerity in preparing an accurate list of beneficiaries.

The training programme was organized by the Upazila Administration and the Upazila Social Services Office.

Speaking at the event, Milon said the government plans to bring every family under the Family Card scheme, providing Tk 2,500 per month in the name of the female head of each family.

He urged the trainees to perform their duties responsibly and treat everyone cordially, regardless of political affiliation. He also emphasized mutual cooperation and teamwork to ensure the successful implementation of the programme.

To facilitate field-level data collection, the MP handed over high-quality tablets to the data collectors and supervisors.

The field-level survey under the programme will begin in Paba upazila on October 12. Initially, data will be collected in Nowhata Municipality, Parila Union and Ward No. 1 of Hargram Union.

A total of three supervisors and 12 data collectors are participating in the two-day training.

Paba Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ibnul Abedin presided over the inaugural ceremony, while Upazila Social Services Officer Mohammad Hossain Khan conducted the training.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, Upazila BNP Convener Ali Hossain, Member Secretary Abdul Razzak, Joint Convener Sultan Ahmed and Upazila Women Affairs Officer Fatema Khatun, among others, were present.
