Acting President Pays Tribute at Graves of Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia

Acting President Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, today paid homage at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

He paid the homage by placing wreaths at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at Zia Uddyan here at 12.46 pm.

Later, he offered ‘Fateha’ and ‘Munajat’ seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The President was accompanied by President Office's Public Division Secretary Khan Md Nurul Amin, Press Secretary Md Sarwar Alam, Military Secretary to the President Major General A S M Bahauddin and State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain.

Earlier, he paid homage to the martyrs of the Great War of Liberation by placing wreath at the National Memorial at Savar.

On his arrival at the National Memorial premises, he was accorded Guard of Honor.
