Investigation Underway into Bomb-Like Object Incidents: Home Minister

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed today said a coordinated investigation is underway into the recent recovery of bomb-like objects to identify those responsible and determine whether the incidents are connected.

"We are investigating to identify those involved and ascertain whether there are any links between the incidents," he said. He made the remarks while speaking to reporters at the Home Ministry in Bangladesh Secretariat here.

The minister said the incidents appeared to be attempts to create panic and disrupt social harmony recovering the bomb like objects in Motijheel and Ashulia.

Ahmed said intelligence and law enforcement agencies are also closely monitoring the activities of banned organisations and certain groups operating from abroad as part of the investigation.

He added that further details would be disclosed once the ongoing investigation is completed.
