Prayer gathering held in Mohammadpur for Tarique Rahman and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi
A prayer gathering was held in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, seeking the good health and long life of Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman, MP, and newly appointed Acting Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The prayer gathering was organized after Asr prayers on Friday (August 21) at Al-Markazul Islam Blind Madrasa on Babar Road in Mohammadpur. BNP Central Assistant Secretary for Publicity Advocate Asadul Karim Shaheen attended the programme as the chief guest. BNP Central Assistant Secretary for Economic Affairs Mahmudur Rahman Sumon and Central Jubo Dal Vice-President Dr. Lohani Md. Tajul Islam were present as special guests.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Towhidur Rahman Aowal, Vice-President of the Central Chhatra Dal. During the prayer gathering, special prayers were offered for the good health, long life and overall well-being of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Prayers were also offered for the good health and long life of BNP Acting Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The participants also prayed for peace, prosperity and the overall well-being of the country and its people. They sought divine blessings for the continuation of the country’s development and democratic progress under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
It may be mentioned that on Thursday (August 20), BNP National Standing Committee member Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was assigned the responsibility of Acting Secretary General of the party.
